Gussy Up the Front Door :)

Happy Monday!

Well I can't take credit for doing my vinyl on the inside of the front door but I wanted something that when friends and family went to leave, they had something to see as our goal in our home is to make anyone who comes into our home, they feel welcomed and it feels like home.  I was at the Dollar Store on Saturday and they had the removable wall decor so I got 2 different sayings.  I figured if I don't like it, or get tired of it I can take it down :)  See, I always think ahead lol.

I also got my little shelf done and distressed and up on the wall.  I still don't know exactly what I'm putting up there yet so I just put one of my Valentine decorations up there lol.  I don't like having things bare lol.

I hope you have a smooth and fun week. Have fun and happy crafting!!

Bringing the outdoors indoors

Happy Wednesday!!

I was able to relax a little this past weekend and focus on some crafting which felt great. I did have a meeting with the Hospice nurse to get that all figured out and set up so being able to have some "ME" time was very good for my soul.

I had picked up these twigs at work the other day after a big wind storm and decided to bring them home.  I love the outdoors and thought they would look cute by my decorated fireplace so I stopped by the Dollar Store and picked up $5 worth of items to put something simple together.  Here is what I got, minus the twigs :)

And here it is sitting in front of my fireplace.  I really like it!  It gives texture to it and brings some of the outdoors inside.

I also found this tin and I didn't want it for Christmas but have something in mind so you'll have to see what I come up with.  I know...there I go teasing again lol.

Last but not least, I also found this at the Dollar Store and want to do something else with it so stay tuned :)

Well that's it for the day so have a wonderful time today and happy crafting!

Precious Plaque

Happy Thursday!!

I hope that all of you are having a fabulous week and enjoying yourself.  Things are starting to settle in at work and I think I'm starting to get into a routine now lol.  No, I still haven't won lotto lol.

The other day, a very dear friend of mine sent me this saying and it touched my heart so much, I knew that I had to put it on a plaque and display it.  I had bought a few of these plates over at the Dollar Store.  They were just plain white plastic.  I took plain acrylic paint and a makeup sponge and started dabbing it and I really like the texture it gives it.  Yes these are my little coffee filter flowers I got to use on it too.

Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!!

Fall wreath and a secret project

Happy Thursday!!

So did I get your attention from the title of secret project?  lol  Well it's not really a secret, I'm just not sure how I'm going to get it done exactly.  I have a vision but it will take a little work so you'll have to stay tuned for what and how it turned out at a later date :)  I promise it will be worth it.

I also had purchased this styrofoam wreath form at the Dollar store and wanted to do up a new fall wreath as I think Summer is pretty much overwith around my neck of the woods.

I had these flowers around the house that I had picked up a while ago, already had the material and ribbon so the cost of this project, $1 :)

I think it turned out very cute and love it!

Also, I am only 2 away from hitting 100 followers so once I hit that, yup I have another giveaway to say thank you so another fun thing to keep up on.

Linky parties for today:

Great candy giveaway over at Val's at Val's Crafts.  If you're into making cards or scrapbooking, this is awesome :)  Thanks Val for hosting such great candy!!

Have a fantastic day and happy crafting.

Cute and easy projects

Hi there!  So I had 2 lonely stars that were just needing something hanging from their hooks so I pulled out my Dollar Store wood hearts, gave them a coat of red spray paint, printed up some vinyl words, embelished them and now they have a new home for the Summer :)

I just love it when you can do easy projects and see instant gratification don't you???  :)

I am also working on these cute and tiny boxes.  Not exactly sure what I'll do with them quiet yet but I'm sure I can find a happy home for them too.  Yes, another Dollar Store find!!  These are 2 boxes that stack inside of each other and so cute!!

Have a great day and happy creating!!

P.S.  So I put a thin coat of white spray paint on the boxes and wanted to have the affect that some of the brown comes through, cut out a few vinyl stars and added a few buttons and now I can put these with my 4th of July decorations!!  Love it!!

Have fun creating!!

Dollar Store Crafts

Happy Tuesday!!  I was reading on the blogs and found this cute idea so thought I'd try it out.  Can't go wrong for $2 right?  Sorry I didn't get the blog site but my computer decided to shut down on me and I hadn't save it yet :(  But whomever did this before, it was such a cute idea so I tried it!!

You can find these at the Dollar store.  I roughed it up some before spray painting it.

Bought a small bag of rocks, so yes we're at $2 and I had some red votive candles already and all done :)

Quick and simple but yet elegant at the same time.  I didn't get any of the glass holders, and still may but they only had tiny ones that wouldn't work but you get the idea.

I also had these candles from the Dollar store and wanted to play with some vinyl.  I've got these done and took less than 2 minutes and wanted to put it in the main bathroom and then put one in the livingroom so here they are :)  Fits right in with the country theme around the house.  Vinyl star and a little horseshoe and there you have it!

Well have a great day and keep it simple :)
