Floor is done :)

Howdy!  Well after working by myself I "FINALLY" finished all the floor and got everything moved back into the room.  It was a lot of work but definitely so worth it.  I loved how it turned out and I'm back in there crafting away now lol.  So lets do a little recap on where we started.

Below is the "before" and I had pretty much removed a lot of the furniture when I took these.  Yucky nasty carpet!!  I decided I was even going to wash the curtains too.  I figured hey, if I'm going to do it, do it right :)

The the ripping and tearing began and with each piece, I was so glad to get that out of there.  It has been in our house for 10 years and it was only 5 year carpet and it was destroyed trust me.

Once I got all of the carpet out and tack strips up, cleaned it really good and got it prepped, the transformation started.

Well after many hours on my hands and knees, I am happy to report that I have laid my very first floor all by myself and I love being in the room now :)  Slow and steady was my motto lol.

So what else have I been up to lately since I finished this project?  Well in exactly 13 days, we will have a reveal happening with #7 grandbaby......

Stay tuned for the reveal on my birthday, August 8th!  You can't receive any better birthday present than being there to find out first hand what this little sweetie will be.  Once I find out, I will put the date on the "correct" block I made with the date and it will go into her memory journey I'm doing for her.

Have a great day!!

Happy crafting!

Weekend Living

Happy Saturday!!!  I hope that all of you are having a wonderful weekend so far and enjoying each and every minute.  Today here in the PNW we've got overcast and it is much cooler so think it is time to do some inside crafting.  My overall goal is to relax and have some fun this weekend to clear my mind out so that I can have fresh beginnings come Monday :)  I'll also be meeting a few girlfriends today so watch out world hahaha.

So what are a few things I'm doing?  Well I won't give you the answers but I will show you some hints :)

First off, these are all quick and simple crafts but something I've been wanting to do.  You see with having some issues with my muscles not relaxing the way they should lately, I have to do shorter bouts of crafting until I get them to cooperate again lol.

Hmmmm will it be an arrangement?

Many options for these huh???  Do I have your mind wondering now?

So until later when I reveal what I've done, I will leave you with lots of hugs and wish all of you a wonderful day.

Happy Crafting!!

So much to do, so little time :)

Howdy!!

Oh wow where has the time gone!  It has been almost 2 months since I posted anything.  I've been running around with my head cut off, being pulled in so many different directions.  Lots of things happening with life, work and family so that has kept my focus.  I have not been able to work on any of my crafts and I have so missed it.

Well my wonderful hubby has known for quiet some time that I've wanted to take my crafts to the next level and I have told him numerous times I've wanted a miter saw and so what did he do???  He got me one and I got it as an early Christmas present!!  I'm SOOO excited as I've got a 'To Do' list and now I can start on it.

Want to see my new addition?

I can't wait to get on things.  I think it is going to be more helpful than I originally thought as we are seriously thinking of putting our house on the market soon.  We own our house but it is on leased land and we are tired of the rent going higher and higher.  We want to get into a "real" home on our own land so please pray that the door opens for that :)

So stay tuned for some of my fun projects.  Time is tickin....the holiday's are right around the corner.

Have a great rest of the week.....

Hugs!!

Switching things up

Howdy!!

Well I can honestly say I am SO glad it is Friday now and the start of what I'm hoping will be a relaxing weekend.  This darn cold is driving me nuts!!  I basically quarantined myself at work today so that I didn't pass it on to anyone else because I'm careful about that.  Disinfected everything!!!  I just wish others would be that considerate but what can you do.

I was able to work on these cute magnets when I got home.  I found the idea over at Midwestern Sewing Girls blog and thought these would be fun stocking stuffers for Christmas.  I plan on giving some to the kids and also my ex so that they can display them on their fridge.  I had printed out a lot of extra pictures from Carissa and Brandon's wedding album so was able to use them.  I found these 6 pack of magnets at Target in the dollar section so why not play around right?
Take the portion of the picture you want and put the magnet right over that spot and trace around it.  You could also use an craft knife also if you want.  Whatever is easiest for you.  Then use Mod Podge over the top of the magnet, put the picture on top of that and press it down and another coat of the Mod Podge and let dry.  Here are different stages below.  I used the gloss one and it turned out great!
When dried, put them up on your refridgerator!  Simple and fun to have :)

That was a quick project and wanted to move some things around, or add some new decor on my shelves in our livingroom so here is this switch up :)  Added my wine crate and put a few knick knacks in it, added the vase (had used it for the wedding) with some green silk plants.  Done :)
Moved the plate around and added my painted watering can.  Not really doing it for me so will have to think about this one more lol.
Added a mirror window frame that I had painted and one of my old glass jars.  Looks much better on top of this cabinet now.  The advantage of having vaulted ceilings in my house :)

Well it is time to go relax and take it easy and drink some more hot water with lemon and honey to curb this darn cough.  Hope it clears up soon!!

Happy crafting and have a good evening!!
