My back is hurting, maybe time to treat myself???

Good Evening!!

So I had another good day at work even though things decided to be breaking left and right.  They say techology is supposed to make things easier right?  Well I think I need to tell my company (The biggest software company) things aren't right yet lol :)

Warning....quiet a few pictures so grab some coffee while you browse :)

I came home and wanted to work more on the wedding album I'm doing up for the kids.  Am making some good progress.  8 pages done tonight (and mind you that has 2 sides to each page) and the vinyl is done.  Here is what the cover looks like and I love it!!  This is the title of "their" very first song they dedicated together and it stuck even through the wedding so I thought it was perfect for the front of this :)

Here are the pages I've gotten done.  Please excuse some of the blurry ones.  My camera wasn't wanting to cooperate tonight either.  See, another technology issue ;-)

This is inside the front cover.  Thought it was very fitting as one of the sentences in the song is the fairytale princess :)
Next up.....where it all began the day of the wedding.  Yes, Wine & Roses Country Estate

The prepping of the bride
It is kind of hard to see in the picture but the upper left picture is the one where I was putting on the necklace my Dad gave her and right next to it is a decoration of 2 white doves.  If you've followed my blog, you know that Carissa and I love this symbolic birds, very near and dear to our hearts.
The beautiful bride.....picture perfect :)
Now onto the handsome guys....if you haven't figured it out yet, or make out the decorations I put on the pages, I'm telling you what they say lol.
The Groom and his Guys
Beautiful Girls ~ we noticed after she got all the pictures back that they didn't get as many pictures of the bridesmaids, and none individually with Carissa.  The guys dominated the pictures :(
Unconditional Love ~ Remember when.  I love this page.
The starting of the wedding.  These next few pages actually have parts of the ceremony typed out from exactly what the Pastor was saying.  This page is who gives this woman to this man in marriage.....
The Vows
The exchanging of rings....the exact words also :)
The lighting of the Unity Candle with the meaning behind what it means.  How fun is that huh!!  I know we all forget every last word we said when we got married so that is where I came up with the idea of this on the pages.

The Kiss and announcing Mr. & Mrs. Brandon Morris
So that is what I've gotten completed so far.  I figured I have to do 8-10 pages a night to have this finished for them by the time they get back on Sunday.  Wish me luck :)

Have a great night!!  Happy Crafting!!

This may take awhile

Happy Monday!!

Sorry for the lack of posts but I've been running with my head cut off it seems.  Every weekend has been booked with weddings or birthday parties and work has been crazy!!

Today I finally was able to settle down some and it was nice for a change :)  Today also was my 51st birthday so after work I came home to work on a project I've started.  Yup.....how do I love to spend birthday's???  Me time and doing what I enjoy so much.......crafting!!!

So here is what I'm working on right now.  It is going to take me a few nights to finish this puppy up let me tell you!!

It has 50 pages to fill and I have 450 photos!!  lol  I have been looking for a photo album for Brandon and Carissa's wedding pictures and I just hadn't found any I liked.  I had been keeping my eyes posted for a leather one and when I saw this I knew it was the one!!  It is the same color as her cowboy boots she wore for her wedding and loved the country feel to it.  Take a look at some of the detail on this 12x12 hardbound book!!

The pictures are all sorted into piles starting from her getting ready, the ceremony and the breakdown of the reception.  My goal is to finish by Sunday because her and Brandon went on a road trip to Minnesota and then back down through South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands, and then into Yellowstone and then back home.  I want to surprise them so wish me luck!!

I also got a few of their pictures framed and love how they turned out.  I can't believe it's almost 3 months since they got married!!

Stay tuned for the transformation.  The vinyl is cut and the pages are being worked!!  Have a wonderful evening!!

Happy Crafting!!

Mini Album

Happy Saturday!

So November is a busy month for me birthday wise.  I have 2 very dear girlfriends that have been there for me through thick and thin and their birthday's are only 4 days apart.  They have been part of my strong support through all of these up's and down's with Dad's health and I wanted to do something very special for each of them so they have both seen some of the mini album's that I've done and wanted to know how to do them which I will glady share but in the meantime, I'm going to surprise both of these wonderful and special ladies with their own memory mini's :)

I have started the first one and am ready to put the additional pages in it for the pockets and then will be decorating it.  I absolutely love and enjoy doing mini's as you can personalize them so much and it makes them even more special.

I decided to go with the brown and turquoise blue them for the first one and here are a few shots of what I've done so far.

Larry has to work today so I will be free to craft away and am SO excited for it!!  My Dad is back at the Assisted Living apartment now and is happy as a clam so for now, some of the pressure is off.  Thank you for all your love and support through all this.  You will never know how much that means to me :)

I hope that you are having a fabulous week and wish all of you wonderful friends a fantastic weekend!!

Happy Crafting!

Photo/Memory Book

Happy Wednesday!!

I have been busy starting to work more on the girls albums for their wedding gift and finally got one ready to decorate now with the embelishments.  I am getting the pages ready and Carissa is coming over tonight and possibly tomorrow to start decorating as this is from her so she knows her bridesmaids the best and she's so excited!!

To remind those who have been following me for awhile, this is one of them.  She is the adventerous one of the bridesmaids.

The left side is a little note area where Carissa can open it up and write her a personalized note.

As you can see, there are pockets, places for journaling (anything with scallop edges in the pocket areas) and lots of tags to add pictures too.

On the left with the scalloped area, this also opens up for more journaling and also has room in the back for more tags for pictures.

One down, 4 to go lol.   The prepping is the longest portion but the decorating is pretty quick and fun :)  Once these are all done we can mark off another thing on the list :)

Have a great day and happy crafting!

Mini Albums

Happy Thursday!!!!

I have been a busy girl getting together the gifts for the girls and am little by little getting them done.  These are all going to be customized according to their hobbies that they love or the colors that they really really like.  Be forwarned, the glue isn't dried on these yet so you can see it through the ribbon on some.  Yes I'm impatient :)  lol

Here is what I've gotten done so far.  5 down, 2 more to go.

This one is for her best friend and Maid of Honor.  They were always hanging out and going everywhere together.  They met in 7th grade and still are very close even though they've graduated.  So can you say "girlfriend" theme for this one?  lol She now is living in California but she's right there getting so many things done and wanting Carissa's special day to be perfect.  She's like a daughter to me that's for sure.

This one is for her bridesmaid who loves anything country :)  I had found quiet a bit of embelishments for hers so far and it will be a fun one to finish out.

This one is for her bridesmaid which happens to be her sister.  She just loves pink and of course this one will be an easy one to embelish through out too.  I mean sisters and their bond they have, no problem :)

This bridesmaid is another Jr. High/HS friend who were the best of friends and  hung out a lot also.  A lot of bonfires and being out in the country.  She is the adventurous one who loves to try things at least once.  She's already been skydiving :)

This bridesmaid is Brandon's sister and she is a junior in H.S. so she is into the girly items like the mall, movies and of course shopping. Can you figure out what the inside of this album will be having in it?  lol

It was fun getting their favorite colors and fun hobbies they like to do so I could personalize each one of them.  The other 2 that I will be finishing is for Brandon's Mom and Stepmom.  I am loving how they are turning out.  Carissa will be writing a special note to each of them on the inside so they can cherish this special event :)
