Pine Cone Garland

Happy Sunday!!
I was able to have some more "ME" time on Saturday with my youngest daughter and wow did we have a wonderful time.  She has been so busy going away on the weekends we haven't had much time to spend together so it was a very special day.  Her fiance is out of town on business so she actually had some time to spend with me :)  She spent the night with us on Friday, we got up on Saturday and I made her the pancakes that tastes like cinnamon rolls and then off we went to start our pamper day.  What did we do????

  • Started the day off with a massage
  • Off to the store to get the weekly necessities
  • Had lunch
  • Got a pedicure
  • Stopped to get new wiperblades for 3 of the vehicles
  • Home to relax for the evening, well for me anyway.  She went to the casino to play bingo with some friends.
What a wonderful day :)

I was checking my blog feeds and came across this Pine Cone Garland over at Room To Inspire and just loved it and thought how simple and sweet is this so I got out my burlap, ribbon and pine cones and made it up.  I had all the items so that is always a plus huh :)

I love it and it fits right in with my twig arrangement I did a few days ago.  Wow I'm really bringing the outdoors in huh :)

I also changed out my "Fall" picture and changed it to reflect Thanksgiving.  Simple but such a great reminder to stop and smell the roses and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for.

Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!!

So nice you got to share some quality time with your daughter. The older they get the busier they get, and we mom's seem to get the back burner. That's ok though, that's all apart of them growing up, and us letting go. Yeah.. that's what I keep telling myself.. LOL. Cute garland.. I love pine cones. I need to go hunt some up.

Love the pinecone garland. It's always great to spend time with kids, no matter how old they are. It's especially great when they've grown up and we don't see them much.

I'm envious. I never seem to get that kind of time with my daughter these days......

Sorry I am so late commenting on this... was so busy on the weekend and yesterday didn't even get to peek at blogs...

I am so happy you had a great day with your daughter and took some time for you... sounds like you had a fun day.

I hope all is good with you, haven't heard from you in a few days. I am thinking of you always... have a good week Laura.

Big hugs, Deb xo

Oh, how I wish my daughter lived close by instead so far away. I miss her terribly. Love your pinecone garland on the burlap. It is lovely. I agree with Amy..I need to go hunt up some and start creating.
